BEECHER, IL – The Beecher varsity softball team delivered a commanding performance on Tuesday, securing a 7-1 win over Lincoln-Way Central in a non-conference matchup.

Beecher’s offensive engine was fueled by a flawless performance from M. Johnson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, tallying three runs scored, three RBIs, and a double. The Bobcats consistently manufactured runs throughout the contest, scoring in three separate frames and sealing the victory with a decisive four-run rally in the bottom of the sixth inning.

In the circle, Taylor Norkus turned in a dominant complete-game performance for Beecher. Norkus limited the Knights to just three hits and one run over seven innings, racking up 10 strikeouts to keep the opposition at bay. Beecher’s defense provided stellar support behind her, playing a clean game with zero errors.

Lincoln-Way Central managed to break the shutout with a run in the top of the sixth, but the Bobcats responded immediately in the bottom half of the inning to put the game out of reach.
