New Lenox Fire Protection District Meeting | March 16, 2026

The New Lenox Fire Protection District Board of Trustees managed a concise agenda during its regular meeting on Monday, March 16, 2026. The session was highlighted by a mandated public hearing for a $3.25 million bond issuance to fund the Station 2 expansion, which was reported to be a month ahead of schedule. The Board also celebrated the finalization of multiple command-level promotions and the acquisition of a residential property for live-fire training. Trustee Sauter was absent, leaving all measures to pass on 4-0 votes. The Board adjourned into a closed session from 6:22 p.m. to 6:32 p.m. to discuss litigation before officially adjourning the meeting at 6:33 p.m.

GEMT Rate Increase: Fire Chief Adam Riegel reported a financial boost for the District, noting that the Ground Emergency Medical Transportation (GEMT) rate increased on March 15. The new rate is now set at $2,454.63.
