The Lincoln-Way Central varsity baseball team edged out Plainfield Central for a narrow 8-7 victory in a neutral-site, non-conference matchup on Thursday.
In what proved to be a high-scoring, back-and-forth affair, the Knights managed to push across just enough offense to secure the one-run win. Both lineups found success at the plate, combining for 15 runs in the tightly contested battle.
