New Lenox Village Board of Trustees Meeting | February 23, 2026

Article Summary: The Village of New Lenox has contracted Q1 Media to execute a comprehensive, $250,000 digital advertising campaign. The strategic initiative aims to boost economic development, increase event attendance, and drive traffic to the Village’s premier attractions, including KidsWork Children’s Museum and the Crossroads Sports Complex.

Q1 Media Contract Key Points:

  • Total Cost: $250,000, fully accounted for in the 2026-2027 municipal budget.

  • Scope of Work: The package includes targeted social media ads, streaming service commercials, and website banner advertisements running through April 2027.

  • Strategic Goals: The campaign focuses on promoting economic development, increasing KidsWork admissions, and spotlighting Crossroads.

The New Lenox Village Board on Monday, February 23, 2026, unanimously approved an agreement with Q1 Media to launch a sweeping $250,000 digital marketing campaign aimed at expanding the regional footprint of the Village’s primary attractions.

Community Engagement Director Beth Alderson presented the proposal, explaining that Q1 Media collaborated with Village staff to build a fully integrated media package. The campaign will utilize a wide array of digital platforms—including social media, streaming services, and targeted website banners—to drive visitor traffic, increase admissions and memberships at KidsWork Children’s Museum, and promote tournament bookings and events at the Wintrust Crossroads Sports Complex. The contract runs through April 2027.

“Pretty much anything digital that you can think of to help us achieve all of our marketing goals across all of our brands,” Alderson told the Board.

Mayor Tim Baldermann commended Alderson and her team, highlighting the recent hiring of a new staff member, Sarah, as a key factor in elevating the Village’s outreach capabilities. Baldermann noted the communications team has already successfully launched a new Village TikTok account, which he praised for its engaging content.

“Our marketing team that they met with and interviewed really can help get the word out,” Baldermann said. “It’ll be great for after our residents have a chance to buy tickets for concerts, really promoting all the events we have here… just the total marketing of our community in every aspect.”

The Board passed the agreement with a 7-0 roll call vote following a motion by Trustee Lindsay Scalise and a second by Trustee Amy Gugliuzza.
