New Lenox Fire Protection District Meeting | Dec. 15, 2025
The New Lenox Fire Protection District Board of Trustees convened on Monday, December 15, 2025, to close out district business for the calendar year. In addition to major decisions regarding the Station 62 budget and the creation of a new Deputy Chief position, the Board handled routine financial reporting and received operational updates from administration.
Fire Chief Adam Riegel reported that ambulance billing revenue is up for the year, attributed to a move from the standard rate to the GEMT rate and an overall increase in call volume. Recruitment Update:
Chief Riegel reported that the district is moving forward with testing and hiring new personnel. The district received 30 applications, with 22 candidates deemed eligible. Testing was scheduled for the Tuesday and Wednesday following the meeting.
