Village of New Lenox Meeting | January 26, 2026
The New Lenox Village Board of Trustees met on Monday, Jan. 26, 2026, at the Village Hall. Mayor Tim Baldermann led the meeting, which featured the recognition of youth athletes, significant zoning decisions, and major contracts regarding the Crossroads Sports Complex. All trustees were present.
Cheer Team Recognition:
The board honored the New Lenox Football Association Elite Cheer Team (Second Grade) for winning the 2025 ICA State Championship. The team, which competed against nine other squads, scored a 75.45 to secure the title. Mayor Baldermann presented the coaches with certificates and invited the team to perform a cheer for the audience.
Snow Removal and Van Purchase:
Mayor Baldermann and the Board praised the Public Works Department for their efforts in clearing streets during recent sub-zero temperatures and snowstorms. “Every community is envious of the work that your people do,” Baldermann told Public Works Superintendent Mark. The board subsequently approved the purchase of a used utility van for the department from Curry for $70,200, taking advantage of government pricing to save money compared to a new order.
Pavlov Media Agreement:
The board approved a resolution authorizing a rental agreement with Pavlov Media, Inc. The agreement provides the company with a location for their main hub at the Joliet Highway standpipe. In exchange, Pavlov Media will provide free fiber internet service to all village buildings.
La Poca Sicilia Letter of Credit:
Trustees voted to demand payment on a letter of credit for La Poca Sicilia in the amount of $21,621.23. The funds will be used to complete remaining public improvements that the developer failed to finish.
Sponsorship Signs:
The board approved a proposal from Integrity to replace five sponsorship signs at the Crossroads Sports Complex that had sustained damage. The cost for the replacement signs is $1,800.
