New Lenox Village Board Meeting | December 15, 2025

The New Lenox Village Board on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, met for a regular session focused on infrastructure upgrades, public safety fleet management, and holiday community updates. Major actions included the approval of an amusement agreement for the Crossroads Sports Complex, the purchase of three new police interceptors, and a critical repair for the village sewer plant. Mayor Tim Baldermann also issued a heartfelt call for civil discourse following tragic international news involving Australia and the United States. For detailed reports on these items, see the full standalone articles.

Plan Commission Appointment:
The board unanimously approved the appointment of Martin Hawrysko to the New Lenox Plan Commission. Hawrysko, a recent graduate of the village’s Citizens Academy, was selected to fill a current opening. Hawrysko has attended several recent board meetings in preparation for the role.

Homer Township Building Survey:
Homer Township Supervisor Sue Styler addressed the board to request assistance in reaching New Lenox residents who live within Homer Township (north of Route 6). Styler is seeking community input regarding a building on 151st Street that currently lacks funds for occupancy. A survey is available on the Homer Township website and Facebook page to gather resident feedback before the township proceeds with further spending.

Teerling Lakes Easement:
The board approved a grant of easement for the Teerling Lakes development. The public utility easement, located in the right-of-way of streets in the project’s second phase, will allow for the installation of electrical lines to serve the development’s amenity center.

Special Use at 12410 Horseshoe Drive:
As part of the consent agenda, the board approved a second reading for an ordinance granting a special use for a Planned Unit Development (PUD) located at 12410 Horseshoe Drive.

Payroll and Disbursements:
Trustee Keith Madsen presented the bimonthly disbursements totaling $6,350,338.41. The board also approved the Dec. 12, 2025, payroll in the amount of $751,866.23. Both items were approved unanimously.
