New Lenox Village Board Meeting | December 15, 2025

Article Summary: The New Lenox Village Board on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, authorized a new amusement device agreement for the Crossroads Sports Complex and moved forward with significant lighting upgrades for a complex billboard. The gaming agreement positions the village as the proprietor, offering a higher revenue share than typical local arrangements.

Crossroads Sports Complex Key Points:

  • Gaming Revenue: The village approved a 50/50 split with Board Machine, Inc. for video gaming terminals, assuming the role of proprietor with no upfront capital investment.

  • Billboard Lighting: A $44,420 proposal was approved for permanent lighting and electrical infrastructure, which includes the capability to support future digital signage.

  • Sponsorship Activation: The installation of the billboard has activated the second installment of a sponsorship payment from Wintrust.

The New Lenox Village Board on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, approved a resolution authorizing a unique amusement device agreement with Board Machine, Inc. for the Crossroads Sports Complex.

Unlike typical gaming arrangements in the village where the municipality receives a smaller percentage of revenue, Mayor Tim Baldermann explained that the village will serve as the proprietor for these machines. The agreement stipulates a 50/50 revenue split with no upfront costs, risk, or capital investment required from the village.

In related action, the board approved two phases of electrical work for the sports complex billboard. The first phase involves an initial cost of $6,318 for temporary lighting and brackets to navigate the current inclement weather. The second phase, totaling $44,420, will establish permanent lighting.

Village officials noted that the permanent infrastructure is being built to allow for a future transition to digital signage. The billboard itself is a component of the village’s sponsorship deal with Wintrust, and its completion has triggered the second phase of the sponsorship payment to the village.
