NEW LENOX, IL – The New Lenox Fire Protection District Board of Trustees began its meeting on Monday, October 27, 2025, by formally recognizing the promotions and service of four department members.

In a ceremony attended by family and colleagues, Daniel Francis and John Ruckman were officially promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Following the promotions, firefighters Nicolas Reyes and Anthony Porter were sworn in, signifying their completion of probation with the district.

Chief Adam Riegel thanked the board for participating in the ceremony.

Several board members shared their appreciation for the firefighters’ service. “Congratulations to the two promotions and 2 off probation,” said Trustee Scanlan.

Trustee Levey added that he was “Honored to participate in the ceremony.”
