JOLIET, IL – Key positions on two Will County boards were filled Thursday, November 13, 2025, as the County Board’s Executive Committee gave its consent to appointments for the Washington Township Drainage District and the Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB).
The committee recommended the re-appointment of Dennis Koehn to the Washington Township Drainage District #3. Koehn, a resident of the district and a member of the drainage board since 2000, will serve a term set to expire on September 5, 2028. The three-member drainage district is responsible for overseeing drainage issues within its specific jurisdiction in Washington Township.
The committee also recommended the appointment of Mimi Bejda to the Will County Emergency Telephone System Board. Bejda, who is replacing the retired Commander Brian Truhlar, will serve as one of two representatives for County Wide Law Enforcement Services. Her term is set to expire on January 31, 2027.
